Project Description

Flood relief works on the River Dargle in Bray Town, from the Harbour Bridge to the N11, including:

  • Deepening and widening of the river channel
  • Construction of new flood protection reinforced concrete and sheet pile walls and associated leakage cut offs
  • Enhancement of existing river walls
  • Provision of a new culvert at Bray Bridge to provide greater flow capacity at this location

O'Shea Consulting carried out civil structural design work in support of SIAC's (successful) tender submission for this scheme, including:

  • Ground characterization
  • Design of embedded retaining walls
  • Reinforced concrete secant piled walls
  • Sheet piled walls
  • Waling beams
  • Ground anchors
  • Scoping of further site investigation works
